About

A formula one driver (in his own head) and a lover of wines (fine or otherwise), Warren Moore is a radio professional with 25 years in the industry.

Heard through Macquarie Radio Network stations 2GB, 2CH & MTR, Warren’s big deep voice makes up for what he lacks in physical height (yes folks, he’s only 165cm!)

Warren joined 2GB after relocating to Sydney from Newcastle in 2005.

Over the 20 years before that, he also broadcast on Sydney’s 2UE, 8HA Alice Springs, 5PI (now called 5CS) Port Pirie, 2DU Dubbo and 2HD Newcastle where he spent more than 15 years combining his love of announcing with roles as News & Program Director. He also collected two Australian radio industry awards for outstanding work.

These days, when not on air, Warren enjoys banishing his wife to another room when Formula One races are on TV so that she can not make noise, giving his PS3 a bash and a white wine or three.

He also completed a social science degree at Macquarie & Newcastle universities in 2007, which he started 13 years earlier (just for fun!)

In 2009, Warren’s family was thrilled to have him immortalised on the side of a building in his birth town of Kurri Kurri in the NSW Hunter Valley. You can see him as part of a mural dedicated to local radio personalities on Hampdon Street.

  1. Hi Warren,
Enjoyed your piece about swallowing a fish which made me think, why are these people getting twitchy about a fish.
They would be better served doing what they could about halal slaughter methods. You can’t tell be that cutting a lamb, bullock etc throat and letting it bleed to death is better than the normal method of stunning the animal and then slaughtering it.
But I guess that’s OK because they are Muslims! Sharia Law is coming folks!
